Minature skate ramp

The product is a minature sized skate ramp which could be suitable for scooters, skateboards and bmx's. The aim of the project was to experiment with the process of laminating wood and to create a ramp suitable to be used by a tech deck on a table surface to practise tricks. The product was made out of thick pine for the main strength of it, laminated balsa wood was used to create the bent surface creating a strong but lightweight surface. I also experimented by using a metal coping bar which was sourced from an old airing rack. During the construction of this product i used multiple tools including a; Wood Saw, sandpaper, Hot glue and coping saw for the metal. In conculsion, the product was an overall success because it taught me how to laminate thin wood sheets and by making mistakes i found out the ideal number of layers to create a strong laminated surface.
